That the Parliament acknowledges the results of the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) national strike ballot, which were announced on 10 November 2022; notes that the ballot was held across UK and Scottish Government departments and agencies; recognises what it considers the overwhelming mandate for industrial action returned by PCS members with an average “Yes” vote of 86.2%, which, it understands, is the highest percentage vote in the union’s history; expresses its solidarity with PCS members in their call for a 10% pay rise, pensions justice, job security and no reduction to redundancy terms, and calls on the Scottish Government to deliver what it considers a meaningful pay rise for the workers in its departments and agencies who have voted to take industrial action.
