Pupils at St Joseph’s Primary in Clydebank Protest Litter Pollution

  • Submitted by: Marie McNair, Clydebank and Milngavie, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 23 November 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-06903

That the Parliament commends pupils at St Joseph’s Primary School in Faifley, Clydebank for arranging a protest against litter pollution in the area; understands that after learning about litter pollution and the effects it has on the environment, the children made banners and shouted chants as they walked around the streets close to their school to encourage residents to bin their litter and keep the area clean; recognises what it sees as the positive impact of raising awareness and educating children and young people about these issues in schools, as well as in the wider community, and praises the staff and pupils of St Joseph’s for their efforts.
