Conor Morrison Wins Bright Spark in Social Care at Scottish Social Services Awards 2022

That the Parliament congratulates Conor Morrison, Aberdeen Cyrenians Support Practitioner, on winning Bright Spark in Social Care Award at 2022 Scottish Social Services Awards; understands that this award comes just a few months after Aberdeen Cyrenians was awarded Large Charity of the Year at the Celebrate Aberdeen Awards in September 2022, along with multiple other finalist nominations; believes that Conor’s work is one example of the tireless work and dedication of the wider teams at Aberdeen Cyrenians; notes that the 2022 Scottish Social Services Awards took place at the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow on 9 November 2022, with the awards being held annually since 2017, providing an opportunity to raise the profile of the sector; further notes that the Bright Spark in Social Care Award celebrates the achievements of rising stars within the social care workforce, who go the extra mile to make a difference for those they work with and apply their learning to ensure best outcomes, bring enthusiasm and commitment to their work, are keen to learn, to develop themselves and to continue to work in the sector and are proud of the work they do; commends Conor and everyone at Aberdeen Cyrenians for the incredible work that they carry out on a daily basis to ensure people are put at the centre of their care, and wishes them all the best for the future.
