Fife's Asian Restaurants Triumph at Awards

That the Parliament congratulates the Curry Pot Indian Takeaway in Dunfermline and Handi in Glenrothes, which have been listed among the winners in the Asian Restaurant Awards for 2022; understands that the sixth annual event took place on 1 November 2022 with more than 60 establishments shortlisted across the categories; recognises the success of Scotland’s best loved Asian dining establishments with both national and regional winners being named; notes that the Curry Pot Indian Takeaway in Dunfermline was named as Scotland’s best Asian Takeaway and Delivery alongside Edinburgh’s St John’s Curry Club; further notes that in the regional categories Handi, in Glenrothes, triumphed in the Central and Fife region; understands that Asian restaurants contribute £5 billion to the economy and employ more than 100,000 people across the UK, and wishes all those involved in these important businesses the best during these challenging times.
