Kitty Ramsay Awarded for Services to Poppy Scotland

That the Parliament recognises that Kitty Ramsay has received the President’s Award for her years of fundraising for the charity organisation Poppy Scotland; understands that Kitty Ramsay, has collected donations for Poppy Scotland in Port Glasgow and wider Inverclyde for years and in doing so has raised thousands for the charity’s cause; notes that the President’s Award is presented to an exclusively small group of people who Poppy Scotland recognise as having contributed "exceptional volunteering services to the charity"; celebrates that Kitty Ramsay’s work has revolved around raising awareness of all those people who never returned to the community from war, or who still live with the pain of conflict, and further celebrates that Kitty Ramsay has additionally contributed to her local community having run a newsagents for 40 years in Port Glasgow with her husband Ronald.
