  • Submitted by: Elena Whitham, Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 18 October 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-06353

That the Parliament commends Jayden McWilliam on winning an award for Best Presentation in the local Developing the Young Workforce Community Challenge; understands that Jayden decided on setting up a free cost of living crisis awareness event, which offered to help as many people as possible who were struggling with rising costs by inviting stallholders from Home Energy Scotland, East Ayrshire Council, Fedcap Employment and Shire’s financial inclusion team; further understands that he then had to submit a portfolio on the project and deliver a presentation to a panel of judges; notes that apprentices from across Ayrshire were invited to enter the challenge run by Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce’s DYW team, and wishes Jayden well with the rest of his apprenticeship and community work with Shire Housing.
