  • Submitted by: Neil Bibby, West Scotland, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 27 September 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-06071.1
  • Current status: Taken in the Chamber on Thursday, 29 September 2022

As an amendment to motion S6M-06071 in the name of Graham Simpson (Scottish Government Handling of Ferry Contracts), insert at end "; welcomes the commitment to not unbundle the ferry network, and to maintain the Clyde and Hebrides network under public control; believes that the unreliability and long-term unsustainability issues are contributing to the growing depopulation of the Scottish islands, and further believes that the future procurement of ferries must be used to support Scottish shipbuilding jobs and help restore the reputation of the Ferguson Marine yard."
