  • Submitted by: Russell Findlay, West Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 27 September 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-06037

That the Parliament congratulates Paisley’s Accord Hospice for reaching its 40th anniversary, and notes that this was celebrated with a charity art exhibition; notes that Accord Hospice is a charity that provides free palliative and end of life care for those living and affected by life limiting illness across Renfrewshire and parts of the East Renfrewshire council area; further notes that the annual art exhibition took place in The Art Department, a pop-up exhibition space in The Paisley Centre, from 9 to 17 September 2022; understands that more than 120 artists displayed artwork, some for the very first time with a new addition this year of a mystery auction; further understands that the annual exhibition helps to raise funds for the patients and families who are supported by the hospice, and welcomes that the event was sponsored by Paisley First, a non-profit organisation comprising more than 600 businesses in Paisley with the aim to help create a better business environment and more attractive town centre.
