Friends of Milngavie Reservoirs Working for the Community

  • Submitted by: Marie McNair, Clydebank and Milngavie, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 06 September 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05848

That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the great work of the Friends of Milngavie Reservoirs, which is an environmental protection group of volunteers who aim to protect and enhance Mugdock and Craigmaddie Reservoirs; understands that members, who represent the views and aspirations of locals and visitors alike, meet regularly as part of a joint liaison group to encourage Scottish Water to maintain the facilities efficiently; notes that the group has five strategic priorities that it focuses on to ensure that the reservoirs are returned to their original beauty and to have a sustainable long-term plan to keep them beautiful for the benefit of future generations, and thanks all involved for their great work and looks forward to seeing what they get up to in the future.
