That the Parliament congratulates Scott Birse, the Run Banchory Race Committee and the volunteer marshals on the success of the 2022 Run Banchory event; understands that this was the third Run Banchory event and, for the first time, included a half marathon event in addition to the 1K, 2.5K and 10K races, attracting over 300 entrants; notes the considerable work undertaken by Mr Birse and the Run Banchory Race Committee to stage this event, including altering the courses following the damage caused by Storm Arwen in November 2021; understands that this is the only running event held in Banchory and that it was supported by local organisations and businesses, Out There Active Wear, BBKS Accountants, Barry Chalmers Painting and Decorating, and Woodlands Nursery, and congratulates all those who took part in the event.
