That the Parliament congratulates Shetland coach firm, R G Jamieson & Son, known as Jamieson’s, on its centenary; understands that the Yell-based family-run coach and taxi hire business was founded by Robert Gordon Jamieson in 1922 as a taxi and car hire business with a Ford Model T Convertible; further understands that the business is now run by Robert H Jamieson and family, and offers a range of services, including coach and taxi hire, coach tours to the mainland and the wider continent, party buses, and school bus and service runs; commends Jamieson’s for providing a key service to the community through bus transport links in Unst, Yell and Fetlar, and throughout Mainland, as well as coaches that enable Shetland groups such as sports teams to travel to events in mainland Scotland; further congratulates the company on its national recognition having been shortlisted for the 2022 Route One awards as a "Small Coach Operator of the Year", and wishes all at Jamieson’s well for the awards ceremony in November and in the 100th year of the company.
