Camphill School Receive £100,000 for New Residential Home Project

  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 02 August 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05571

That the Parliament congratulates Camphill School on receiving a £100,000 boost towards its £3 million project to build a new residential home; notes that the generous funding was from the Wolfson Foundation; understands that Camphill School currently supports 95 people, and provides residential support to children and young people with learning disabilities and complex additional support needs; further understands that the project to build a new residential home is part of a 10-year, £10 million vision to create three new residential homes, increase workshop provision and launch a sustainable social enterprise, which, it believes, will allow Camphill School to support more people who are not accessing services, and hopes that the project is a great success.
