  • Submitted by: Marie McNair, Clydebank and Milngavie, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 12 July 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05308

That the Parliament congratulates The Big Disability Group’s grand opening of its new Community Hub in Clydebank; understands that the group, which was founded in 2017 by Clydebank resident, Kevin Crawford, took the premises over from the Independent Resource Centre that closed in March 2022, with the aim of providing a similar service of support and advice for members of the community; understands that the group plans to utilise the space for as many causes as possible, such as providing a space and assistance to small and start up community groups, hosting computer and IT classes, and running workshops to help individuals complete CVs and develop employability skills; recognises what it sees as the positive impact this will have on people of all ages, and commends The Big Disability Group for their brilliant work.
