Banchory Rotary Club Celebrates 50th Anniversary

That the Parliament congratulates Banchory Rotary Club on its 50th anniversary, which it celebrated on 12 June 2022; understands that it marked the anniversary with a charter lunch, for which members of the club were joined by 41 members from 14 different rotary clubs in the north east; further understands that the club raises thousands of pounds every year by holding an annual vintage car and motorcycle rally at Crathes and a golf tournament at Banchory Golf Club, as well as a number of smaller fundraising events, and then donates this money to local causes and charities both local and international; understands that the club has recently donated funds to provide oxygen generators for those affected by COVID-19 in Peru, towards the humanitarian effort in Ukraine and Clan Cancer Support, and congratulates everyone at the club on its 50th anniversary and its continued good work.
