Nan Fotheringham Wins Volunteer of the Year Award

That the Parliament congratulates Nan Fotheringham, of Coatbridge Citizens Advice Bureau, for winning the Scottish Council of Voluntary Organisations Volunteer of the Year award at the recent Scottish Charity Awards; notes that Nan has been volunteering at the CAB for around two days each week for more than 20 years; considers that volunteers play an essential role across the Citizens Advice network in Scotland, with more than 1,900 volunteers giving up over 622,000 hours of their time in 2020-21; understands that the monetary value of this contribution from volunteers is worth more than £9 million; considers that the Citizens Advice network provides essential community services, and commends the work of staff and volunteers across the network.
