  • Date lodged: Friday, 24 June 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05057

That the Parliament acknowledges the efforts of individuals participating in the Aberdeen International Airport’s midnight Runway Run taking place on 3 September 2022, which will be organised for a third year by CHC Helicopters and Aberdeen International Airport, working in partnership to raise money for their chosen charities; understands that Aberdeen International Airport's chosen charities, We Too! and Kayleigh’s Wee Stars, will benefit from the run along with CHC Helicopters chosen charity, Friends of ANCHOR; notes that the Runway Run will see participants start at the same time and complete two lengths of the lit runway; understands that this equates to 3.5 km and that participants will use transponder chip technology to accurately record their individual time; notes that the results will be displayed in the CHC terminal following the conclusion of the Runway Run, and wishes all the best to everyone who is participating in the midnight run.
