  • Date lodged: Friday, 17 June 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-04899

That the Parliament congratulates Crescendo on receiving an £8,154 award from the National Lottery Awards for All Scotland fund; understands that the organisation will use the funding to deliver community musical workshops, including singing and drama, in Balornock, Castlemilk, Maryhill and Possilpark in Glasgow, between March and November 2022; notes that this will culminate in a performance involving all four communities in December 2022; welcomes the fact that such groups can again come together in person after the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic; notes what it sees as the benefits that music and singing bring to individuals, groups and communities, and looks forward to the performance at the end of the year.
