National Lottery Community Fund in Dundee City West

That the Parliament congratulates the six community groups across Dundee City West that have recently been successful in securing National Lottery Community Funding; notes that the £140,450 awarded to CANDU (Dundee Cancer Support Network) will be used to hire a project development worker to continue to run a programme of support and wellbeing for people affected by cancer in Dundee; understands that £10,000 will enable Just Bee Productions to run women-only art therapy workshops and sessions for women experiencing a variety of issues and challenges; recognises the intention of ScrapAntics to use the £9,980 funding received to hire a volunteer coordinator to support, train and assist volunteers on a day-to-day basis; considers that the £143,601 going to Uppertunity will be used to continue to run workshops, sessions and events for people with autism, learning difficulties and who experience poor mental health; understands that Teddington Trust received £2,430, which they will use to run online workshops for people with xeroderma pigmentosum in order to create a resource for people with the condition, and congratulates Transition Dundee who received a £10,000 grant that they will use to continue running their community fridge and to organise volunteers as they transition to a social enterprise model.
