Former Broadcaster and Rhu Resident, Mike Edwards, Named Reservist of the Year

That the Parliament congratulates former journalist, Mike Edwards, on being named Reservist of the Year at the recent Scottish Veterans Awards; understands that he has served as a reservist for the last 30 years, including being mobilised for active service in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and that he also gives his time to several armed forces charities, including being a case officer for SSAFA in Dunbartonshire and serving as a trustee with Erskine who nominated him for the accolade; recognises the passion that he has for charities dedicated to veterans, and understands that he has called Erskine his “favourite place” and enjoys the intrigue and varied stories shared by veterans.
