That the Parliament notes the Scottish Book Trust's Reading is Caring campaign, which helps people living with dementia, and those who care for them, to use reading and sensory experiences to create special moments of connection, spark memories and relieve stress; understands that the programme is now in its third year, and that it trains people through workshops, providing the knowledge and tools needed to share reading with someone living with dementia; recognises the beneficial role of reading and of the wider impact of culture and the role it has to play in relation to wellbeing, and commends the Scottish Book Trust on its work with people with dementia.
