That the Parliament offers its warmest congratulations to curling stars Eve Muirhead and Bobby Lammie, who successfully defended Scotland’s World Curling Mixed Doubles Champions title when they defeated the hosts, Switzerland, 9-7 in a thrilling match; acknowledges that this latest triumph comes just weeks after Eve led Team GB to victory, winning a gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Beijing; notes also that Bobby represented Team GB at the same event, winning a silver medal, before competing in Canada’s Grand Slam of curling events, reaching a fifth successive final at The Players Championship, where they became the first from Scotland to win the prestigious Pinty’s Cup, and wishes Bobby and Team Bruce Mouat every success as it competes in the last Grand Slam event at the KIOTI Tractor Champions Cup this month.
