Stranraer Brass Ensemble Wins Top Music Award

That the Parliament congratulates Stranraer Brass Ensemble, which it understands has been named as the first-ever Scottish Young Musicians Brass Ensemble of the Year in an online competition that attracted strong competition across the country; notes that they have won a sculpture by Alexander Stoddart of the Maid of Morven playing the clarsach; understands that they will also receive £750 to be spent on ensemble music-related activities as well as an all-expenses paid trip to play a prime slot at the Solo Performer of the Year final, and wishes the musicians continued success in future competitions.
