Recognising the Success of Etape Loch Ness Cycle

That the Parliament praises the participants and the organisers of the 2022 Etape Loch Ness; recognises 63-year-old Gerard McLarnon, from Northern Ireland, who it understands has long COVID, for completing the 66-mile journey with oxygen cylinders on his back; understands that Gerard and Creggan Wheelers, the cycle club which helped play a big part in his recovery, completed the ride in 06:09:15; commends Catriona Lockie from East Kilbride for retaining her fastest female title finishing in 02:58:12; further commends Scott Davidson and Andrew MacRae, who are part of the Moray Firth Cycling Club, on being tied for the fastest finish in their category, crossing the line with a time of 02:46:05 each; commends those who managed to organise the successful event, and hopes that it continues to bring eager cyclists to the Highlands in 2023.
