That the Parliament extends its warmest congratulations to the Team GB Women's Curling Team on achieving a gold medal at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, following what it sees as a decisive 10-3 victory over Japan; commends what it considers the outstanding leadership of Perthshire-born captain, Eve Muirhead, for bringing home Team GB's only gold medal from the Games, alongside team members Jen Dodds, Hailey Duff, Mili Smith and Vicky Wright; celebrates what it sees as the significant contribution of Scottish athletes to the success of Team GB, and applauds the wider exposure of this historic sport following the victory, and the potential it has to encourage talent and investment in the next generation of British curlers.
