John Wallace CBE to Receive The Queen’s Medal for Music 2021

That the Parliament congratulates the trumpet soloist, John Wallace CBE, who is to receive The Queen’s Medal for Music 2021; acknowledges that John’s professional career spans over five decades, with notable performances in the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra; recognises his role in arts education, including convening the Music Education Partnership Group, which has worked to secure free instrumental tuition in Scottish state schools, and his role in the Wallace Collection, which is a brass ensemble based in St Andrews, and wishes him all the best in his future endeavours.
